Optomechanics

Optomechanics connects optical design with a mechanical structure that maintains the position, shape and orientation of optical elements under real operating conditions.

Positioning

Centering, tilt, axial position and defined reference systems must be transferred from optical tolerancing into the mechanical design.

Stability

Stiffness, gravity, vibration, shock and temperature influence optical performance. Mechanical design and simulation are therefore developed together with the optical system.

Assembly

Assembly sequences, reference surfaces, tooling and alignment concepts are designed so that calculated optical performance can be reproduced in the physical system.

Numerical analysis is integrated into optomechanical system development without disclosing internal or customer-specific design details.
